Hello. I hold a Masters Degree in Engineering, from the University of Dublin, and worked for ten years as a consulting engineer in the construction industry. Driven by a strong interest in education I then returned to University where I qualified as a secondary school teacher (H.Dip. in Ed.). I have been a full time teacher for the last 23 years in the Irish secondary school system, my subjects being Mathematics, Applied Mathematics and Graphics/DCG.

As well as classroom teaching, I have taken many students over the years for individual and small group grinds, most commonly in Applied Mathematics, Mathematics and DCG. The vast majority of my grinds students have achieved Higher Level grades 1, 2 or 3 in the Leaving Cert exam. I have been involved in the correction of Applied Mathematics and Mathematics papers for the SEC. I teach for understanding, avoiding formulaic approaches and rote learning,which is the key to reducing stress and anxiety around maths learning.

Grinds are available online at a rate of €40 per hour.
