Hi, I’m Róisín! I am a BA International student at University College Cork, specialising in Spanish and Italian. I have over four years of international teaching experience across Ireland, Spain and Italy, and over six years of experience teaching and tutoring Spanish, particularly for the Leaving Certificate. I am fluent in four languages and have a strong understanding of both language development and the confidence needed to succeed in a foreign language.

My lessons are tailored to each student and can focus on grammar, vocabulary, reading, writing, listening and oral Spanish, with particular attention to areas they find challenging. For exam preparation, I focus on exam technique, past-paper practice, time management and understanding what examiners are looking for.

Having completed the new Leaving Certificate Spanish format myself with a H1, I have a strong understanding of the current course and exam structure. I give students an insight of not only how to do well, but what exactly examiners are looking for. I use my own comprehensive notes, StudyClix and past papers to develop students’ skills and confidence, while also incorporating Spanish culture and current affairs to make learning more engaging and relevant.
