I hold two undergraduate degrees and a Master's degree in Music and Mathematics from University College Cork (UCC).

For the past twelve years, I have taught Mathematics and Music in an academic secondary school, working with students across all year groups and ability levels. This experience has given me a strong understanding of the Junior Cycle and Leaving Certificate curricula, as well as the different challenges students face at each stage of their education.

My teaching approach focuses on building genuine understanding rather than rote memorisation. I break complex topics down into clear, manageable steps, using straightforward explanations and analogies to help students understand the underlying principles. I aim to build not only exam performance, but also confidence, logical thinking, and independent problem-solving skills.

I create a supportive and structured learning environment where lessons are tailored to each student's individual needs and goals. Whether a student is looking to build confidence, improve their grades, or achieve the highest marks possible, I adapt my approach to help them make consistent progress.
