Hi there! I'm Dr. Matthew Bent, an academic lecturer currently teaching part-time at Trinity College Dublin. With over 15 years of teaching experience under my belt, I help both secondary school and third-level students get to grips with chemistry, science, and academic reasoning—and I am fully up to speed with the new Leaving Cert chemistry syllabus.

My tutoring style is all about building real confidence and understanding rather than just rote learning. To help students master the trickier topics, I use a custom set of concise booklets I've put together covering pH, chemical equilibrium, reaction rates, and both water and regular titrations.

When working with Junior and Leaving Cert students, I focus heavily on breaking down past exam questions, sharpening problem-solving techniques, and smoothing out any roadblocks. For third-level students, we dive deeper into bridging theoretical gaps and advanced concepts.
