Hi, I’m John, a qualified post primary Maths teacher with 19 years of teaching experience. I qualified as a teacher in 2007, and hold a Professional Diploma in Mathematics for Teaching 2H1 from University of Limerick.

I have extensive experience teaching Junior Cycle and Leaving Certificate Maths, including Higher and Ordinary Level. I currently teach Maths in a post primary school and have also held leadership roles including Year Head, Numeracy Coordinator and Maths Department Coordinator.

My approach to private tuition is supportive, personalised and focused on building confidence. I begin by identifying the student’s strengths and areas for development before tailoring lessons to their individual needs. I use clear explanations, targeted practice and past examination questions to develop both understanding and exam technique.

Over the years, I have helped Junior and Leaving Certificate students improve their confidence, understanding and examination results, while also challenging higher achieving students to reach their full potential.

My tuition rate is €35 per hour, with lessons also available online.
