Hi, I’m Jason, a Science, Biology and Chemistry teacher with a real passion for helping students feel more confident in their subjects. Before teaching, I spent eight years in the biopharmaceutical industry in laboratory and production roles, ensuring the quality of medicines. I loved the science, but teaching was always the goal, so I returned to DCU to complete my PME, having already earned my degree in Analytical Science there.

I’m now in my first year of teaching and have worked with many Junior Cycle and Leaving Cert students through 1:1 tuition. My approach is calm, structured and very exam‑focused. I break topics down clearly, show students exactly where marks are earned, and guide them through sample answers and marking schemes so they know how to maximise their results.

I also help students with study skills, timing and organisation, and I’m used to working with those who feel a bit lost or overwhelmed. Once they understand how the exam works and have a clear plan, they tend to become much more confident and focused.
