Hi I'm Harry. I'm a professional tutor, who has previously completed a PhD in Chemistry from UCC. I have a great passion for education, and a perseverance for assisting my students with their individual learning experiences, often tailoring tutorials to the specific requirements of each student.

I know the Irish curriculum very well, and I have been offering Chemistry and Biology tuition for Leaving Cert (€40 per hour) and University tuition for any chemistry related modules (€45 per hour) for the past 7 years, typically on a 1:1 basis. Additionally, I taught in both UCC and MTU for four years prior to that. I am also Garda Vetted.

My pedagogical approach is to identify and target specific gaps in a student's knowledge, removing confusion around a subject, and steadily building confidence by solving increasingly complex problems. This approach quickly evolves into the student answering past exam paper questions with me, then trying past exam questions themselves.

Using this approach, many past students have rapidly improved their grades, and I often hear of students achieving H1 and H2 grades on results day.
