Hi! My name is Dónal and I'm an experienced and enthusiastic tutor offering Junior and Leaving Cert grinds in French, Computer Science and Japanese. I hold a BA in Computer Science, Linguistics and French from Trinity College, as well as a First-Class MSc in Artificial Intelligence (Advanced Computer Science) from UCD

I have several years of teaching experience, including Leaving Cert Grinds in Computer Science and French, as well as working as an Instructor at the Centre for Talented Youth Ireland (CTYI). I've designed and delivered classes on computer programming, linguistics and Japanese, alongside personalised My main goal as a teacher is to find areas where a student is struggling most and improve on those to build confidence and significantly improve exam performance.

My approach to tutoring is highly personalised and from the first week we will create a clear study path to suit the student's individual goals. In both languages and computer science, I focus on clear explanations and organised notes instead of solely relying on rote memorisation. Additionally, I offer programming-specific classes for leaving cert Computer Science, as well as dedicated oral and aural exam preparation for both French and Japanese.
