I have more than 25 years of experience teaching the following subjects: English, History, Geography and Classical Studies at Leaving Certificate and Junior Cycle Final Examination at Higher and Ordinary levels. I have experience providing tuition to small groups and individual students across Repeat Leaving Certificate, intensive revision, adult education, and EFL programmes.

It is essential to guide students carefully through the course, highlighting the key areas they need to focus on in both the language and literature sections of the examination papers. I aim to help students build confidence and develop a clear understanding of what is required at each stage of their learning.

All my notes are tailored to the needs of each student. Materials can be adjusted for students working at different levels, from those who need additional support to those aiming for higher grades. My goal is always to help each student reach their own potential, whether that means achieving a pass mark or striving for top results.

As a tutor, I do not believe there is a single fixed way to deliver a subject. My notes and teaching approach reflect that flexibility, and I continually review and improve my materials to ensure they meet students’ needs. I also value regular feedback and clear communication with parents about progress, as I believe this supports both the student and the wider learning process.
