I am an experienced language tutor with a background in Law and German. I have taught Irish and German for more than 10 years to students of all ages and abilities, from school pupils to university students and adults.

I have extensive experience preparing students for school and state examinations, as well as helping learners improve their general language skills, confidence and fluency. I tailor lessons to each student's needs, whether they are aiming for top marks, need support with particular areas, or want to strengthen their foundations.

I have a strong academic background in German and have also lived and worked in a German-speaking environment, giving me practical experience of using the language in academic, professional and everyday settings. I am also a fluent Irish speaker with extensive experience teaching Irish.

My approach focuses on genuine understanding and confidence rather than rote memorisation. I explain concepts clearly and systematically, with a strong emphasis on grammar, vocabulary and communication, while adapting lessons to each student.
