My name is Ciara Ní Phuirséil, and I’m an Irish and History teacher with seven years of experience working in a Gaelcholáiste, where all subjects are taught through Irish. I hold an undergraduate degree in Irish and History from Maynooth University and a Master’s in Education (completed through Irish) from University of Galway.

I have seven years’ experience teaching both subjects at Junior Cycle level and four years’ experience teaching Leaving Certificate Irish and History. I also have three years’ experience correcting Junior Cycle History exams, which gives me a strong insight into what examiners look for and how to help students succeed.

Because of my background in a Gaelcholáiste, I offer tuition in both Irish and English, depending on the student’s preference. My approach is centred on listening to students’ needs, identifying areas they find challenging, and adapting lessons to suit their ability and learning style. I’ve helped students build confidence, improve their exam techniques, and achieve significant grade improvements.
