I am a secondary school English teacher with a degree in Literature and History, and several years of experience teaching at second level. I currently work with Junior Cycle and Leaving Certificate students, helping them develop strong analytical skills, confidence in their writing, and a clear understanding of how to approach exam questions effectively.

Alongside classroom teaching, I provide private tuition for students preparing for the Junior Cycle and Leaving Certificate exams. My experience includes working with students of different abilities, from those looking to build a solid foundation in English to those aiming for top grades. I focus on helping students understand texts deeply, structure their essays clearly, and express their ideas with confidence.

My approach to grinds is supportive but focused. I work closely with students to identify exactly where they are losing marks and then provide practical strategies to improve. This includes developing essay structures, refining exam technique, and building confidence in both written and spoken responses.

I charge €35 an hour
