Hi, my name is Cassie. I am a fully qualified English and Music teacher, registered with the Teaching Council. I hold a BAMus in English and Music, a Master’s degree in Renaissance and Medieval English, and a Professional Master of Education, all from University College Cork.

I have been teaching since 2016 and have worked in a wide range of school settings, including DEIS schools, fee-paying schools, and schools in Dublin, Cork, and the UK. In my two most recent schools, I held the role of Head of English, including a three-year post in the UK. In this capacity, I led curriculum development and modernisation, supporting both students and colleagues in the delivery of high-quality English teaching.

I have taught English and Learning Support to students aged 11–19, including Higher Level English for the Leaving Certificate. I have also worked with the State Examinations Commission correcting Junior Cycle examinations for two years, giving me valuable practical insight into how exam scripts are assessed.

I offer focused, individualised lessons tailored to each student’s needs. For Junior Cycle and Leaving Certificate students, I provide detailed feedback based on marking schemes, identifying clear, practical ways to improve their writing and strengthen their exam technique. I can support students at any starting point and help them build confidence, improve their skills, and achieve their full potential.

I also have experience working with students with dyslexia, ADHD, dyspraxia, and autism. My passion is helping every student recognise their strengths, develop their abilities, and reach their goals.
